Our story
Fifteen years of member-owned growth
The journey
Founded
The Pharmacists Savings and Credit Cooperative Society was founded in 2018 by pharmacists as an investment group to meet the saving, investment, and credit needs of members of the Pharmaceutical Society under the leadership of Hon. Dr Sam Opio Acuti. The office was established at Pharmacy House in Kyambogo–Banda.
Growth
The SACCO was officially registered in 2021 to meet legal requirements and operate more smoothly. Since 2018 it has supported the financial needs of over 300 members, with membership growing in both numbers and quality.
Today
In 2025 the SACCO secured residential land at Nakasajja Estate for members. Plots of 50 x 100 ft are sold at UGX 24.5 million each, payable in installments, with selected plots also open to non-members.
